Moving house
Last year my elderly parents decided to down size to a small apartment and as a consequence decided to put a load of their furniture in store.
The joyous task came down to my sister and I along with a single packer. The big day or rather two days arrived and we just got on with it.
Each room had a number of boxes to be filled and anything that could be disassembled was marked up. I got the task of doing the beds, two hour later three doubles were done and one left for my folks to sleep in that night.
By the end of the day we had got well into it and the first removal truck load had gone. With at least another day to go, Rachel and I got the joy of staying in the neighbours granny flat.
Anyhow 8PM arrived and we went to the granny flat expecting a modern well laid out little flat with a couple of nice beds and some basic facilities. Nope - it looked like something from the seventies and worse still one double bed an old kitchenette and even old 36 inch TV with an agricultural VHS attached.
The only upside was a fridge with some beer and a bottle of wine......
