Trimmed hair - longer or shorter?

When I was young, I could not wait to get more pubic hair - and at that time, everybody had the same feeling. But now time has changed and less hair is acceptable.
Completely bold is nothing for me (I tried, but the shaving process is not easy and the new growing hair is so peaky), so I decided for myself to trim the hair.
What do you like better, shorter or longer hair?
