TV/CD meet idea

I've been meaning to ask, Does anybody know of get-togethers or events in the area that are CD / TV oriented? Just to chill, have fun, exchange tips and techniques and talk over food or drink with fellow CD/TS and those who admire them?

if not, I'd like to get the ball rolling on a team venture. Let's exchange ideas in the comments section :)
