Did You Know...

that the rankings on this site are based on the number of comments we leave on other profiles, vids, pics, etc. and not based on the number of comments we receive from others. Up until just a couple weeks ago I had always assumed that it was an incentive to add more content. I also left comments on others' profiles thinking it was helping their ranking when, unknown to me at the time, it was helping mine. I see so many people ask for comments and I thought that was the reason why. I never noticed in the beginning because I was adding content and comments at an even pace and never noticed anything odd. After reading, for the first time, the FAQ section in the help menu how the rankings are awarded I felt surprised and a little stupid for assuming it to be the other way around. I still plan to leave comments when I'm inspired to, especially to newcomers posting real stuff. Am I the only one to make this mistake?
