INDIAN SISTER-IN-LAW OR SECOND WIFE
This is a real story.
I am Mahima, and I am going to share with you something that is very personal to me. This is a real incident that happened to me about two years ago.
My sister who is younger to me by six years (24) Riddhi delivered a cute baby girl. Since we were staying in Bangalore and our parents were in Mumbai it was difficult for her to manage work and the baby. So she called me to stay with her for 6 months.
Although married myself, I was between jobs and I was taking a 1 year break. Also, my husband keeps traveling as he is into sales. So I had no worries about moving into her house for 6 months. In fact I was happy that I will get more time to spend with her and my niece. So I packed my bags and moved to her place on a Saturday.
Riddhi and her husband Vikrant were happy to receive me. They had a big flat with 3 bedrooms so accommodating me was easy. I got a bedroom for myself, which was next to their master bedroom. Riddhi helped me transfer all my clothes into the wardrobes and arrange some of my stuff in the room.
It took me some time to adjust to the new place. The light switches, TV setup, washing machine and doing my daily chores. Vikrant's work timings were 10 am to around 7-8 pm. So it would be my sister and me at home most of the time.
After about a week or so, I became comfortable in their house. Both my sister and Viki (Vikrant) would put extra efforts to make me feel that I am part of their family. I would repay their affection by helping my sister with all house chores, taking care of the baby and sometimes even Viki. Viki was more of a patriarch, so it will be me and my sister doing all the chores, cooking food, washing clothes, etc.
My sister used to wear all pregnancy clothes loose and thin cotton material, and almost never used to wear a bra at home. Once I opened up to her about how I miss being at my home, as here I have to be careful, need to wear a bra at all times and also think about how I look in front of Viki.
Riddhi was surprised that I felt this way. She never thought about it in this way. She wanted me to be super comfortable at her home and told me immediately to stop with all the formalities. She said, "right now remove your bra!". I did as she instructed and from that day onwards I started to roam in the house braless. Also, I became less conscious about my appearance and what I wore in front of Viki.
